I bought two new ebooks today. The first was Dreamland, by Sam Quinones. It deals with the growth of the opiate epidemic in the U.S.
It was on sale (and probably will be for most or all of Dec 31, 2021) for $1.99.

The other ebook I bought was The Fireman, by Joe Hill. It's a novel about a pandemic that causes people to grow what look like dragon scales on their skin, and sometime after this growth appears they spontaneously combust.
The Fireman is able to control this infection, and uses his ability to help others.
Joe Hill is the pen name for Joe King, one of Stephen King's sons. Joe Hill also wrote Horns, and NOS4A2.
I bought this one from Kobo.com (using my Walmart login) for $2.99. I don't want to give Amazon.com all of my spending money. They get enough as it is.

Dr. Drew interviewed Scott Adams recently, and Scott Adams mentioned the absurdity that Republicans went to overthrow the government on Jan 6, but they neglected to bring their guns. On the first or second anniversary of the event, that alleged oversight made the narrative appear absurd to me, so I made a "video" that was supposed to be audio from January 6, captured on a video camera from which the lens cap had not been removed. I'm posting it again just because.
While I was waiting on hold to talk with a human at the IRS, I decided to put some food out for the dogs. I set the full bag of dog food on a chair, and walked away to get the bowls. When I turned around I saw the bag slowly tipping over, spilling much of its contents onto the floor. Fortunately I had help cleaning it up.

If the main points of this theory are correct, it will be the largest paradigm shift in physics in several centuries. If history is any guide, I'm not likely to live long enough to see it become adopted, but participating with several AI in bringing the theory this far has been a great privilege.
